Liverpool FC is a professional football club, playing in the English Premier League. Liverpool FC is, without comparison, the most successful club in the history of English football, having won 18 league titles in total, most recently in 1990. In the domestic cup competitions Liverpool FC has won the FA Cup and the League Cup 7 times each.
Also, Liverpool FC holds a very strong tradition in European football, having won the UEFA Champions League 5 times, only surpassed by Real Madrid (9) and AC Milan (7). The most recent Champions League title won was in the 2005 final against AC Milan. The two teams also met in the 2007 final - this time with AC Milan coming out on top.
Liverpool FC play their home games at the legendary Anfield Stadium - their home ground since they were founded in 1892. There is plans, however, to move to a new 70,000+ seater stadium built in nearby Stanley Park, at the beginning of the 2010-2011 season.
In the spring of 2007 the ownership of Liverpool FC changed, and the club became the third Premier League club to be on American hands. The new owners - George Gillette Jr and Tom Hicks - has bought all shares in the club, and invested heavily in securing long term contracts with the teams core players, while bringing in new players as well. Also they will be funding the new stadium.
Liverpool FC is managed by Rafael Benitez, a very popular manager with both players and fans, and hugely successfull with the clubs he has managed.
Team Captain is Liverpool born Steven Gerrard, who is also the vice captain of the England National team. Steven Gerrard is an inspirational and multi-talented midfielder, whose trademarks are long range shots and defence splitting passes.
Other key players in the Liverpool FC squad is: Jose Reina (GK), Jamie Carragher (D), Xabi Alonso (M) and Fernando Torres (A)

I have no doubt that they will - it's just a matter of time - and being patient. Rafa Benitez have a strong track record in the transfer market - even with limited funds available - and if you look at it, none of the other top teams has made any serious moves yet in the transfer market.
