Verizon's New LG Dare!

LG Dare Review from a honest user

Hi, I recently purchased Verizon's new LG Phone with very neutral expectations which gives this review an unbiased neutral opinion on this electronic gadget.

My Background: I am a techy, I love gadgets and exploring the many uses of each new invention that comes out on the market.

Pros: So lets start off with the physical attributes of the LG Dare. The size feels nice in the hands of an average person when you use the qwerty touchscreen keyboard and is rather compact making it nice to stow away in your pocket or small mini purse. The buttons are sturdy and don't feel cheap. There are many useful side buttons that have multiple functions depending on what part of the operating system you are using. The Interface is very user friendly and quite fast. LG did a very good job at only including things that would prove useful in a phone/semi PDA. The web browser on this phone is amazing, there are three different ways you can view websites which allow lots of versatility with different websites. I never had a problem surfing the web on the LG Dare, and the internet connection is unmatched amongst the competition, No joke. Battery Life is amazing, I can use the phone for hours and still have lots of battery life to continue on the day without having to worry about recharging. All in all this phone is very satisfying to own.

Cons: It is no "smart phone". For all the techies who like to tweak gadgets and make things work the way they want it to work will be disappointed in LG Dare's solid Operating System. It can't open email attachments or be used as a full PDA. But who knows LG or other user's may find ways to make the LG Dare into more of a "smart phone". There is lots of potential for this hot little gadget. For now I use a separate phone (Blackberry) to quench my techy needs.

I hope you find this review useful in determining which cell phone or service provider to go with when you are choosing one of the most common ways to communicate in the 21st century!
