Liberal Books Are Open Books
Some people collect books. Liberals read books.
A liberal life is an open life, and a progressive marks personal progress in the titles of books read, only to be brought down from the shelf again for a second look.
Liberals consider themselves free to explore the ideas around them, to think freely, and so, liberals are the greatest readers there are. Not content to watch flickering images on a screen, liberals prefer to sit quietly and consider the meaning of words on a page.
