Does your library have a wiki?
If you have spent any length of time looking at libraries online, you have no doubt at least heard about the usage of wikis in libraries. Having a wiki for your library is a great way to use web 2.0 with your library as well as organize your resources and improve communication either between library employees or with your patrons.

A wiki is a page or collection of Web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simplified markup language.wiki, n. Oxford English Dictionary (draft entry, March 2007) Requires Paid Subscription Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. The collaborative encyclopedia Wikipedia is one of the best-known wikis. Wikis are used in business to provide intranets and Knowledge Management systems. Ward Cunningham, developer of the first wiki software, WikiWikiWeb, originally described it as "the simplest online database that could possibly work".
"Wiki" () is originally a Hawaiian word for "fast". It has been suggested that "wiki" means "What I Know Is".
However, this is a backronym. "Wiki Wiki" is a reduplication of the same word.
