When Are You Moving?

The dream of living in Spain with it´s sun, ocean breezes, white sandy beaches and rich food makes it an inviting place to call home.

Salamanca, Spain: A Historic Place To Live

Salamanca is the home of the University of Salamanca, which was created by Alfonso IX in the year 1218. It's significance and prestige has continued to grow until the present. The architecture of the university is stunning.

In the Spring of 2007, I spent several days in Salamanca, and everyday, I would go to the University area, and marvel at the architecture and intellectual history that came from this institution.

This picture is of the Plaza Mayor, the central gathering point for afternoon walks, and festive gatherings in Salamanca.

Ronda, Spain

This "Pueblo Blanco" or White City has been the home to numerous expatriates (like Earnest Hemingway), and has a history dating back to Pre-Roman times.

It was built on a plateau overlooking the Tajo Gorge created by the Guadalevin River. It is only a 45 minute drive from Malaga on the Costa Del Sol. Can you imagine yourself living here?

Ronda is also known as the city where modern bullfighting was born.

I have been living in Spain for the last 25 years and absolutely love it! I currently live in the Canary Islands but am planning a move to Almeria in the near future. The weather is better in the Canaries but it will be great to be able to access large cities (& the rest of Europe) without having to get on a plane to do so. Great lens - Squidlike and +1 from me!
