It doesn't take much to give a gift that can potentially save the lives of a family member, friend, a stranger or even an animal. It doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg either. I have been doing some research and have come up with numerous items and ways you can give. These are gifts that are not just for Christmas and Birthdays but for every day of the year.

Who can I help and how?
It is sad to know that there are illness, allergies and lets face it bad people that can be a threat to the ones we love. There are also the homeless, abandoned, those who are less fortunate and so many more that all need help. For the most part most of these will not come out and simply say Please Help me! this could be because of Pride, Shame or many other reasons.So why not give them a gift instead?
You don't need to spend a fortune take a scroll down and see things you can buy/do that can potentially save someones life.

The most common Breeds are Golden Retrievers, Labradors and German Shepard, although Golden Retriever cross Labrador and Labradoodles (Labrador cross poodle) have proven to be quite valuable.It literally takes years of training from Puppy raising through to Formal training by highly qualified and dedicated Instructors.
These dogs are them hand picked and matched to their human. Personality's height and temperment all come into consideration during this process. Here where I live in Australia we have a place called Vision Australia They help so many people out including myself, yes I am legally blind. I have made purchase of Keyboard stickers and calendars. All monies raised go towards helping others learn to live and adapt with the loss of vision. The more training they get the safer they are. Through the website you can shop on line, help raise funds, buy lottery tickets and even Sponsor a puppy. You can even see a small breakdown of what it costs to raise and train a pup. When it happens that a puppy doesnt make it to become a Guide Dog they are often used in Pets as Therapy. This is where owners take the animals around to those who are lonely and/or sick to be some company for them. As most of the time there are people who love animals but for one reason or another can not have one full time. Being that these animals have been trained intesly they make ideal animals for these situations. This is not where they all end up but it is nice to now that even if you do Sponsor a puppy to become a Guide Dog and they dont make it, that in one way or another they have gone on to save a life if not many.

Adopt an Animal at WWFWWF has been around for many years and have done so much for our environment and protected animals. This wonderful organization operates in over 100 countries with over 5 million supporters. Why not take the opportunity to adopt an animal It would make a great gift for some one to see adoptions papers of one of the favorit animals..There are so many to choose from the Polar Bear and Panda to the Black Rhino and Bengal Tiger. You might want to also look at other organizations that do sponsoring and adopting of animals.
You could even go to the local Pound or animal shelter and pick up an animal as a gift. You would be surprised at how a pet to someone can make all the difference to a sick child, to a lonely adult. Pets can be so loving and therapeutic. But remember to please choose wisely

There are people out there who think no-one cares and then a warm gentle smile comes along with a helping hand and there faith is restored. Donations are always needed any where and everywhere. Local Hospitals, Charities, Shelters for Humans and Animals, environmental, research, Schools, Libraries the list goes on and on and on and on....What can you donate, well there is so much you can donate it is unbelievable take a look

*-* Good at knitting? Knit some tiny baby clothes and donate them to the baby nursery at the hospital (NICU)
*-*When shopping but those products the give money to charities and foundations, like buy pink to support Breast Cancer. It generally is not more expensive and this way you can donate at least 1-2 times a month!!
*-* Add gifts to a Christmas wish tree they will be given to those in need. And wake Christmas morning knowing that a child has a gift for Christmas from some who really does care :)
*-* Drop that bit of change you receive into the charity box
*-* Keep all your used food containers like jars etc and wash and donate to local schools and child care facilities
*-*Buy raffle tickets for charities and fundraising its a couple of dollars, then go home and make a coffee instead of buying it. It is a better feeling after all your not wanting the prize your helping others!

Why not Donate your time instead?
This can be as simple as helping someone look for a product they cant find on a shelf at the local supermarket! I have seen places that require help with so many things. From reading someone there mail because they can't. 1-2 hours a month helps a lot! If 100 people volunteered 2 hours a month That works out to be over 1 FULL days help per week! just offering 2 hrs per month can make the world of difference in someones life. Here are some ideas for you.
*-* Animal Hospitals and Vets. exercising animals
*-* Homeless Shelter handing out clothing, blankets, Food and Toys is so rewarding
*-* Animal shelter helping with feeding, cleaning, grooming it all helps
*-* Schools try the Canteen, the Library, help little ones with reading!
*-* Special School. There are so many different ways they could use help with
*-* Volunteer at local functions to help with setting up special events and functions
*-* Become a volunteer firefighter, how rewarding can this be!
*-* See if you can Volunteer with the local Police
*-* Volunteer time and ideas with valuable fundraising for local, state, Country and world organizations
