How name defines my personality
Shining light of my name
My name is Elena. I was given this name by my parents long before my birthday in honor of my grandmother.
So what does "Elena" mean? The roots and origin of this name is from the old Greek name "Helene". To understand the meaning of my name, you must return to the ancient translation of the name "Helene", wich means "bright on", "tourchlight" or helios "sun". Beautiful isn't it?
It is known fact that the names of people influence their personality making them stronger,kinder, more romantic or conservative and even defines their Life Path. What does my name give to me?

Iwas born on January 19th. It was a very cold,sunny and very special day. It was a Bogojavlenie - Epiphany holiday, when all Orthodox people celebrate the day Jesus was baptized.
My father told me, it was in the afternoon when he arrived at the hospital to find out if or when his baby would be born. The Doctor told him, it is too early and he can go to have lunch, everything must happen in it's own time. My father finished his lunch and returned to work. Within 30 minutes my parent's friend called to him to congratulate with a baby-girl. He couldn't believe it happened, because just one hour before he was at the hospital.
The Doctor joked "it was lunch-time, your baby was too hungry to wait any longer..."

WINTER WOMAN
I am a winter woman
My birth month is January. May be that is why I like winter, with the crispness of the frosty air, its special transparency, sparkling snow, magnificent beauty of Nature sleeping, its silence and some mystery. I love hills of snow in the winter time, and recall those of my homeland, when after snowstorms, snow covers everything around and often up to the second floor. People needed to dig tunnels from their doors to go outside to find their cars hidden under the tall snowy hills, or try to go somewhere.
I liked the loud children's laugh and happy squeals when they jumped from the fair stairs on the second floor to the huge hills of snow, with sinking heart trying to fly longer, and further. I remember those feelings from my childhood too.
I liked the looks of the very festive Russian winter fur coats and hats, warm, soft wool or fur mittens. With such a strong and very cold climate wool and natural fur are a must because synthetic materials can not help you to feel warm and cozy and keep this warmth for a long time.
And although it was not so easy to have winter about 7 months during the year, with temperatures of 15-20 degrees below 0 most of the time, I liked and miss my homeland winters a lot.

God's ways are not inscrutable...
As people say "God's ways are not inscrutable". Five years ago one of those ways led me to one Agency for singles people but not because I was interested in finding someone, I was there for other purpose connected with my business at that time. But as a return sign of my gratitude for deal with director of this Agency, I became a member of her club.
I didn't have any intentions or goals of meeting someone and really didn't believe that this could happen through such type of community. However, within a few days, I received a call from this Agency advising me that I had received a letter from an American man.
I didn't dream about America ever in my life. Like everyone else, I just wanted to be happy and was very curious what that letter could bring to me. It was like some game of chance, and I decided to play this game.
It was beginning of my internet love.

I believe life begins from love. I was born because of big love of my parents and all of my childhood love was all around me. I remember, my mom always taught me to do everything in my life with love, to be kind and attentive to everyone, love my home and family. As long as I remember myself I loved our warm and cozy home, our evening conversations by big hot teapot about life and future, I loved to study at school and read books, play piano, sing and dance (and still love!). I adore my sister, who was from her birthday (she younger then me of 10 years) under my care, attention and love. I love my children to death too.
Growing up my life was surrounded with love and I had a lot of love to give and never realize how much I needed love in return.
To love a man is something special. It is love which fills your life completely, which makes it brighter and more attractive, which gives you power and desires to do everything better, to fly higher, to subjugate inaccessible before crests, and to allow the heart to sing.
When this love is far away, a woman tries to fill the empty place in her heart with something else, she tries to be busy with her business or job, saying she has no time to think about a man or finding love again. She finds a lot of hobbies, or expresses her love to pets or flowers etc. or even more often she begins to tell that she doesn't need to love a man, her life is complete enough, very interesting and there is no place for such type of emotions. But all of these manifestations are just a screen to cover her desire to love and be loved. Something that is deeply embedded withing each of us at birth. A desire to share the love within and to find someone special to become part of life and life's journey. Someone special who could fill this void and be the other half of her life, her partner who would share life's journey with its good times and bad, a lover who wishes to be together for eternity.
Love happenes at its given time.You can not plan for it to happen and can not mistake it with anything else, because hot breath of love covers you completely, lifting you to cloud nine, filling your body with unknown or forgotten energy. Because of its brightness, makes your eyes radiant and sparkle, your smile real and happy. You begin to feel a desire to live and create a different and enrich your life. You begin to understand what you waited for so long was the universal love of someone special but you never really realized it.
HOW WE LOVE
INTERNET LOVE
At this point in my life I was had been divorced 10 years already, I was too busy with two my jobs, raising two sons and a cat, taking care of my home and my hobbies, I didn't plan or hope to meet someone for long serious relations and even tried not think about this empty part of my life. Before this chance.I decided just to play my game, but after receiving the first letter from an American man, something happened inside me. It wasn't love in the beginning, but small ray of hope. His letters came every day and I began to realize it wasn't a game to relations he had a serious intentions about long lasting relations and somehow I was close enough to his desired image of woman.
When I heard his voice the first time my heart began to melt. It was very soft and rich, sounded very sincere and full of feeling. I realized I couldn't make such an important decision for my life just reading his letters and listening of his velvety voice, but my heart began to beat rabidly when I heard ringing phone or looked at his photo. Feelings grew inside, there was new found warmth and deep desire. Feelings flew over my heart, creating sensation of happiness from within.
My new emotions and breathing of new love began to change me and all my friends expressed thoughts about the change they saw in me.
He offered to marry me in three weeks after his first letter.
In another three weeks we became happly married - wife and husband.
WE BECAME A FAMILY!

We were married on Cyprus. You could ask "Why there?" It was easiest way to become family as soon as desired going around the formalities and bariers of Russian laws and having marriage certificate which would be legal in the most of countries in the world.
Each of us had already previous experience of marriage but on our wedding day everything was like first time. We fretted a little and our hands shaked when we put our rings on and signed our documents.
It was a very simple but such an exciting civil ceremony in local City Hall and absolutely magnificent evening with holiday dinner in the French restaurant, music and champagne and our first waltz under the shining stars of the dark southern sky. People congratulated us and applauded our newborn family.
I couldn't believe it happened. My friends told me that I was crazy to marry a man who I didn't know and hadn't seen before. They told me that my love was not a real, it is virtual internet love. To love a man from so far away seemed to be impossible for them. They didn't understand the matters of both our hearts or the connection and compatibility we shared, and how I could decide to move to another country to begin a new life with a new found love.
This was something only we could answer. Friends and family could not understand or realize the devotion we have for each other.
I didn't know, how I would live in another country, among people who speak a different language, have different traditions and culture, different laws and mentality. But I didn't wish to think about it that evening. I was absolutely happy!..

PREDETERMINATION
God's blessing
After a week in paradise on Cyprus, we returned to our homes and again it was thousands of miles between us. The wedding seemed like a magical dream in our daily routine.
