A Different Kind of Life

Our Voyage Through Life

"Our Heavenly Hope"

"Our Heavenly Hope"

How could we dream that we would ever be gifted such a beautiful family? We are a family of five, my husband, our three children, and me. These children make our life unique. Each child is very precious and special, although our eldest daughter was born with special needs. She has
a rare disorder called Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, also known as 4P-.

This syndrome has taken our family down a path into an exclusive club that most people hope never happens in their family. When our daughter was first born, no one had a clue as to what was in store for her. Her diagnosis came just about three years after she was born. Thus her entrance into this special club for life, and our path as a
family began into an unfamiliar world. Blessed
are we! We can't imagine her any other way. She is a true delight.

Wolf-Hirschorn syndrome is a rare disorder which usually affects the firstborn, third, fifth, etc. child in a family. It has quite a few symptoms which sound grim, as well as quite a few
traits which are endearing. They are very happy children who love to connect with adults. That is our daughter. She touches everyone around her. She is very loving, and is very loved by all.
She knows her little brother and sister very well, and they love her unconditionally. It is a bond that will never be broken. She
and they are blessed to have each other.

In terms of having a child with a syndrome, we have been blessed enough to have a child who is happy
despite the challenges she has to fight everyday.

Music and lights are a big part of our daughter's life. She enjoys all kinds of toys that light up and make music at the same time. We are constantly on the lookout for any kind of toy that will stimulate her senses. We found a toy that lights and plays music!
Our daughter looks for the toy when she first gets up each day!

Even though raising a child with a syndrome presents
many challenges, it would be hard to imagine life
without that child because of all the joy and happiness they bring.

We are blessed with all of our children!

Welcome! Thank you for stopping by.

My name is Winnie Kenney. I live in the
    beautiful state of Pennsylvania.
It is such a blessing to be able to work at home.
One of the best decisions I have ever made was starting my home based businesses.

Being a part of the DirectMatches family
is very special to me as I have made so many friends. My greeting card business is
such a unique way to reach out to family, friends, co-workers and everyone you
would like to spread happiness to.

I am the mother of three beautiful
children, and married to a wonderful
    husband. Spending time with my
family is very important to me.
    My businesses allow me
to be able to stay at home while
working, without taking away too much
time from my family. Our older daughter
has special needs, and she is one of the
main reasons I have gotten into a home based
business. She is great company, as are our other
    two!

Some of the ways I like to spend
my time besides being with my family is knitting, reading, meeting friends
for dinners, shopping, and celebrating life!

So join me, and bring happiness,
joy, hope, and a smile to someone
