I am amazed at how fast the clock has been ticking. Time is moving fast or I'm moving slower and can't keep up. It seems like Amber and I just got married, and we should think about having a baby! Reality: Avary just turned one a couple of weeks ago, and Amber and I will celebrate four years pretty soon. At the rate that things are coming and going in my life, I will be here and gone before I know it. I think it's time for me to enjoy things more- because stuff seems to just be skipping by me. Will life always be like this? I feel like I am not very in tune with the things going on around me, and I am reminded of something that Mark Yaconelli wrote about what he calls, "being present": (It means being open and available to others with as much of ourselves as possible, as ungaurded as possibe. To be present is to be awake to the Mystery of God within each moment.) Somewhere I lost a connection with being present- and perhaps it would be a good thing for me to get back in tune with.
