Lightheaded - Headed In The Right Direction

Although individually the members of this awesome hip hop group have thriving solo careers, I couldn't showcase them in that fashion. I have showcased Braille before as a solo artist but since he's in a hot group why not give them some shine as a whole? The three members of lightheaded consists of Braille, Ohmega Watts and Othello in which they all bring they have their own unique style. But when they come together as Lightheaded they form like Voltron and become unstoppable on the mic.

A Lightheaded cd is the type of cd you would see at the cashier's counter while standing in line at Starbucks or your neighborhood cafe waiting for your Mocha Latte. They produce chill music laced with lyrical content that'll make you go get your webster's dictionary. The comedic content they come with in their videos doesn't hurt them at all, either. To me hip hop needs a Lightheaded just to offset some of the issues in today's serious, no nonsense, political, rat racing music industry. Coming out of Portland, Oregan it's a new day and a new era for this trio of trailblazers and I'm not talking about the NBA squad.

Lightheaded is a Portland based, northwest connection with worldwide roots. The foundation is 3 super fly mcs united under grooves, gifts and God. Braille, Ohmega Watts and Othello became friends before they became a group. That's what Lightheaded is all about, 3 friends rocking together in serious form over lovely production. The groups energy, passion and charizma follows them to every city, stage and studio they visit. Their live show has amped up crowds in all types of atmospheres.

The meaning of the name Lightheaded (headed for light) is a concept based on attitude. To remain optimistic in the midst of chaos. People often wonder why Lightheaded's music seems so happy. They ask "are you guys aware of what's going on in this world?". But we have chosen to meditate on the things which are praiseworthy. During the good times and the bad, we are happy to be alive. God has given us such an incredible opportunity.... just to exist. During the course of our lives, we have all faced many challenges but none of those challenges have made us regret our existence. Christ himself suffered a great deal while he was on earth, but suffering doesn't make our lives any less valid or effective. In fact, using the case of Christ, his suffering brought forth some of the greatest accomplishments ever known to mankind. And that is where we find our joy, peace, love and salvation.
