Lighthouse Themed Colors
Blue of course represents the sky and the sea; yellow represents the sun. White is the color that comes from the lens of the lighthouse at night; and also the color of most boats and boat sails. Black and grey are subtle accent colors, and can be thought of to represent the black sky at night; and grey rocks on shore.
If you're stumped about what color to paint your bedroom walls, take something that you love and that you will be using in your lighthouse bedroom decor to the paint store. Using your object, gather paint swatches to take home that match the colors in object. From here on, you can use this object for color inspiration throughout the entire bedroom.
Paint swatches seem to always look different under the lights in the store, so even though you may want to pick up your paint while you are there, take your paint swatches home first. Tape them up on your wall, and look at them for a day or two. While deciding on your color choice for paint, look around your room for items you already have in your room that can be used for your lighthouse bedroom decor. If possible, put them next to your color swatches. Once you do this, you may discover the color that you thought would look best on your walls in your bedroom is quite possibly a color that really wouldn't after-all.

- Lovely lighthouse decor. We sure enjoy visiting lighthouses and the views, too. I grew up with a view of a lighthouse in the distance. Sure miss that old foghorn and the view.
