Of course, he's fast, funny, but....initially a bit stuck on himself.When he messes up the road running through Radiator Springs, he first looks for a quick way out of the disaster he's caused. As he develops friendships with the residents of Radiator Springs, he learns that racing and winning are not the only things that matter.
From the opening lines of Lightning McQueen's monologue as he races around the track to the movie's close where he's reunited with his friends, we're drawn to the car packed with sizzling personality and human characteristics. What Kind of Car Is Lightning McQueen?
You might be surprised
He's really no particular make of car at all. He's "built" to race in NASCAR events and, like many real sports cars, he's pieces of many different kinds of cars rolled into one. The artists took the liberty of making Lightning McQueen unique, although many of the other characters are based on real car models.
Many say that Lightning McQueen reminds them of a Corvette or a Viper.

There wasn't an option to choose neither.... but he's too short to be either car and sits too low. Look up the Toyota MR-S, dicast cars by Tomica Ebbro with Lightning McQueen in your search. You can't tell me that's not a perfect match.

Oh, sweet! I really expected David Archuleta to win American Idol Season 7. Alas, he didn't (but I really like David Cook, too). A fan has done a new Lightning McQueen video to Archulett's song, Crush.

Don't miss this one! My (I mean my son's) new favorite fan video. There are some great effects in this one and the maker of this movie did an outstanding job syncing up the song with the movie. Very cool!
