I prefer shopping on Amazon because of the customer reviews. Others who have purchased this product have provided some helpful information. For this car, the description in Amazon says this car requires 4 AA batteries when it appears this car really takes 6 AA batteries and that the battery life isn't very long (is it ever when it comes to a toy?). Rechargeable batteries are recommended both to increase play time but also to decrease your overall expense of maintaining this remote control car.

Sorry, it's a fact - kids love toys that make noise and light up. This Lightning McQueen remote control car has both. The car also repeats quotes from the movie and has decent speed. The remote is shaped as the emblem from the movie and the car goes in both forward and reverse.

Notice the darker color on this car? It's a little harder to find this version of Lightning McQueen. His shell is painted with the Radiator Springs paint style and is darker in color than the original paint job.

A one button remote control allows kids to move this car in all directions. This type of remote control makes it easier for kids with smaller hands to drive a remote control car because it more closely mirrors the approach of a steering wheel for driving a remote as compared to two buttons which is more in sync with a video game control.

This is a great starter remote control car for smaller children. The two button remote control is tethered to the car so that it can't be lost. Smaller kids tend to follow remote control cars anyway and don't yet understand that they can control the car from a distance so being tethered to the car allows them to drive the car and follow along.

At 16 inches long, this is also a nice size for smaller kids who want a vehicle they can also pick up and maneuver manually as a play vehicle.

All of the mini cars are about 1 and 1/2 inches long and have a small multi-button remote control. Cars go forward, backward and turn and are great for group play since each child can have a different car from the movie.

Tow Mater is my son's second favorite character from the movie. His funny quips and extended song at the end of the movie have endeared him to many children.

Fillmore is the movie's hippie character. He is a late 1950's/early 1960's Volkswagen Type 2 Bus. Fillmore owns the gas station in the movie.

Red is the name of the firetruck from the movie who often tends to his garden and has a bed of beautiful flowers that Lightning McQueen runs through and destroys. Red is a sensitive little fire truck but he makes a great mini remote control race car.

Junk Yard play set includes the mini remote control Tow Mater and his junk yard so kids can recreate Tow Mater's world and race him through his home. An exploding roof and a fence kids can drive through make for extra excitement.

There are multiple mini play sets from the movie that can be used together so kids can play in the entire city of Radiator Springs.
