The Light of the World

The love of God was foretold to us in the Old Testament in the Book of Isaiah when Isaiah prophesied of the trials and suffering that Yeshua would go through so that we could be saved. Our sins and iniquity towards God was all poured out by God on the Christ at the cross.

Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail, of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

God's love for us is beyond comprehension. Who could understand that He in His love would send His only begotten Son to die in such a manner. To redeem man back to Him from whence we came the only way to do it was to shed His own sinless blood (for there is life in the blood).

I love God because He loved me first. Giving me the opportunity to live in freedom through His Son Yeshua as my King and Lord. Freedom to enter before the Almighty God through Him, freedom from fear, worry, envy and strife. By accepting Yeshua as my Saviour and Lord there is peace beyond all understanding (at first I even had a hard time comprehending why I wasn't worried about some things that aere going on in my life) and so much joy.

God is love

As we go through the days of this life
striving for things
know that this is just a temporary place
As told in the Word from the beginning
For at our real home the treasure is love
Where God is, in the heavens above

No more seeking for something that cannot be found
Never being satisfied, leaving you tied up and bound
Reach out of yourself and come home in the Lord
Where all the riches and treasures are stored.

Love God and one another as He loves you
give of yourself and all your dreams will come true
For God is Love so faithful and full of mercy
God's grace to us all until the last curtsy
When the curtain drops for the last call
and the trumpet blows to warn us all
to come to Him as His arms are open wide
That's where the love of Christ calls us to abide

How can you not want to be loved by such a great love as this? I still question why people reject Christ. Who is the greatest lover of us, when we really don't deserve to be given all that He cheerfully gives us each day.
