- I once bought a chunk of stinky cheese for my father from a large department store delicatessen. As I stood next to a woman at the Greeting Card display I thought to myself "This poor woman really needs to do something about her body odor, she stinks."
It was only later as I was driving the 3 hour trip home, with the odor of the cheese choking me all the way from the boot of the car, that I realized with sheer *horror* that the offensive smell WAS ME - who was walking around the department store, stinking all the way!!!
What must the other shoppers have been thinking....? Oh yeah, that's right... they would be thinking exactly what I had been thinking earlier
*sigh*

- Limburger is best on a Ritz cracker. The odor is just the thing to whet your appetite.

- To be honest and, although I know Limburg very well since I have some family living there, I've never tried Limburger cheese but might think to...

- I love traditional Wisconsin style Limburger sandwiches, but to tell you the truth, I like it straight out of the package, or on crackers as well.
It doesn't even smell all that bad to me. Dofino stinks way worse, imho.
Limburger is the true test of a Cheese lover. If you don't dig it, You don't know diddly squat about true cheesy goodness!

- I only serve it in my dreams because that is the only way I can get close enough to it to do anything with it.....
How appropriate, the security word is gagspot! lol!

- Limburger cheese is one of my personal favorites. I like to eat it on wheat bread with a glass of wine. It does have a bad odor but the taste more than makes up for it.

- My Dad loved Limburger cheese much to the family's chagrin and a few snickers! If Limburger cheese attracts mosquitoes then perhaps an antidote can be made from it or from stinky feet for that matter - LOL!

- Why would anyone do a lens on Stinky Cheese? Seems to me, a lens on Cod Tongues would be more in line with peoples' taste.

- I was raised around Limburger cheese and love it. I went to a holiday dinner at my In-laws and brought a block of it. My sister-in-law opened it and ate 3 or 4 crackers with it. My oldest daughter seen her eating it and said "How can you eat that" and my sister-in-law said "What, It is pretty good." Then my daughter said "Yes, BUT IT STINKS" My sister-in-law took one wiff of the cheese and turned green and got vilently ill. I don't know how she missed the aroma, but she did.
