6 years Powerseller - and still going Strong!
Lindy's Goodies was born in 2002, after having experimented with shopping on eBay AU. Quickly identifying the potential of trading online, Lindy utilized her business skills, developed over 20 years and began her online business.
Since then, Lindy has been happy to assist other sellers in their endeavours to develop their own businesses and is often vocal on numerous seller discussion boards.

In 3 words - Fun, Friendship, Flexibility!
There are lots of stories which can be read about the downfalls of eBay.There is an equal amount of negative stories about the pitfalls of Buying or Selling on eBay.
It is natural, for people to share their hard luck stories, their negative experiences and the problems experienced with a variety of eBay transactions. Many auction users console each other on public forums, and commiserate with each other ad nauseum.
Sadly though, it isn't as frequent, that you read articles about the positives of trading on eBay.
I'm here to say that dealing with eBay over the last 6 years has been ... an experience.
It hasn't been all plain sailing - we've had our disagreements with eBay management - we've been vocal about objectionable changes to policy - we've even been suspended when, you guessed it, we weren't to blame (a Paypal glitch!) .. The last happened while we were overseas buying more stock for our business Lindy's Goodies aka Obemine.
However, there are disputes and difficult times in ANY business. It might include problems with shoplifters (no, you don't get that on eBay), or it could be with a staff member (that could be a problem but only if you grow to the point where staff are needed), it might be the costs of running a bricks & mortar store (phone, rental, utilities, rates - you get this when trading on eBay, but to a much lesser degree), or it could be that you're restricted with the hours you can work as in a shopping mall (again this doesn't happen on eBay).
You can trade 24/7 if you wish!
Another benefit of trading on eBay is that you have access to the worldwide market. Virtually impossible to attract in any other business other than one with internet presence, is international custom.
So ... bring it on and have a go with eBay ...
You have fun meeting some wonderful people. They come to you through your listed items, and you can make friends and chat with them as often as you wish through discussion boards.
This presents a wonderful opportunity for those in rural areas, those who are sick or disabled, those who are home bound with little children or anyone looking for a home based business!
You get flexibility that allows you to work as many hours as you need, as many days a week as you need, and you can build your business to just the size you want it to be. It isn't everyone's dream to be a millionaire!
So .. fun, friendship and flexibility can be attained on an auction site such as eBay.
You're much less likely to achieve that from your own website, sadly.
In conclusion, please understand that to be a Top Seller as we've been for 6 years, it does require commitment to providing the best customer service on offer, excellent communication skills, and commitment to yourself to put the hours into the business that's required. You can't expect it to come quickly, without dedication or some hard work.
Those are the ingredients for our success ...
