WHAT DID SHE JUST SAY?!
That's right... I said it!
Welcome to my lens folks. Here you will find writing and links from my published work on Lingo Slinger. This lens primarily focuses on my flash fiction, however you will also find some of my art, YouTube videos, book recommendations, random spewings as well as selections of my photography.
If you are sensitive to political correctness, sex, death, language, or drugs, best not to read my stuff. I try to keep it edgy and interesting, and stories about little boys and their happy obedient dogs don't seem to do it for me.
If you like what you see, I encourage you to leave me a comment, drop me a line, let me know. I love to get direct feedback from the human species. I am currently pimping my work out to various publishers to see if there are any takers and am hoping to be on book shelves soon (at a store near you)! I am also seeking YOUR assistance with this endeavor and have stated my desperate plea for help below in "Will Write For Food"!

The question that I get asked routinely...
I tell people that I write flash fiction, and most commonly I receive the question "WHAT'S THAT?"
To better help me explain it, I have enlisted the help of Wikipedia.
Flash fiction is fiction of extreme brevity. While there is no universally-accepted word limit, generally flash fiction is a short story of less than 2,000 words. Most flash-fiction pieces run between 250 and 1,000 words. By contrast, traditional short stories are often as long as 3,000 to 10,000 words and can have as many as 17,500 words before being considered novellas or novels. Flash fiction is, however, primarily defined by the intent that it be read at a single short sitting.
Other names for flash fiction include sudden fiction, microfiction, micro-story, postcard fiction, and short short story, though distinctions are sometimes drawn between some of these terms; for example, sometimes 1,000 words is considered the cut-off between "flash fiction" and the slightly longer "sudden fiction".
The term "flash fiction" likely originated in James Thomas', Denise Thomas', and Tom Hazuka's 1992 anthology of that title.Flash Fiction: 72 Very Short Stories, edited by James Thomas, Denise Thomas and Tom Hazuka, 1992, ISBN 0393308839. As the editors said in their introduction, their definition of a "flash fiction" was a story that would fit on two facing pages of a typical digest-sized literary magazine, or about 750 words.

Will Write For Food - A Desperate Plea For Help
okay... maybe not (unless it's like a filet mignon wrapped in bacon with a side of aparagus drizzled in Hollandaise).
If you are a human being with an open mind, a love of fiction, and appreciate my quirky odd style of writing, I would like to ask for your help.Every day of my life, I write. Writing is more important to me than a lot of things. I have been writing for so long that I have accumulated a massive collection of salable stuff.
Writing for free is great, and I continue to enjoy it, however I want to make the leap from "writer" to published "author".
I need people like you, who appreciate and enjoy my style of writing to help me get the word out.
