Who is in Linkin Park?

The band is comprised of the following members:- Chester Bennington
- Rob Bourdson
- Brad Delson
- Dave Farrell
- Joe Hahn
- Mike Shinoda
The band was formed in 1996 in Agoura Hills, California. Originally named Hybrid Theory, this would become the name of their debut album, and most successful release to date. The album was 5 years of work from the band members compiled into one album. During the nu-metal scene of the late 90's and early 2000's, the band managed to not only survive, but flourish, grow, and change during a time when so many artists were being going by the wayside, never to be heard from again.
Hybrid Theory album eventually received RIAA Diamond status, selling 10 million copies worldwide. It was followed up by Meteora in 2003. Meteora produced instant radio hits, with songs like "Somewhere I Belong" and "Numb." It would be followed by Minutes to Midnight in 2007 and A Thousand Suns in 2010 (which puts them at releasing an album roughly every three years).

Departure of Nu Metal Sound on A Thousand Suns
Transformation in style on A Thousand Suns, Minutes to Midnight
Their nu metal influence began to wane in the album Minutes to Midnight, which was more of a straight-forward rock sound than metal. Building on the success of that album, the band took an entirely different creative direction with the more political and electronic sounding A Thousand Suns. The release of their 2010 album has been labeled a turning point in their career, where they've shifted sounds and become much more meaningful in their lyrics, sound, and layering.
