Lots of good stuff here, thanks. I was particularly looking how to link to specific modules so thanks for including that. And Happy Easter.

Oh great, the best news of the day! I didn´t know that features lenses get rid of the no-follow tag! And right now 3 of my 4 lenses are featured... For a newby like me this is amazing!
I have one more question: If I vote inside a lens of another person - and this lens is featured - that means that I get a do-follow link?

I am into linkbuilding and looking into Squidoo. I am trying to make kewyord links with html link code in the comment section but I am not able to because I am triggering a Spam filter. I don't know why because I see lots of comments doing exact the same and even far worse by only adding keyword links and not even making a comment. Any idea how this is possible?
  • epicinternetempire Jan 8, 2012 @ 2:33 pm | delete
New to squidoo. Thanks for the info on linking. I'm going to try out the Big Arrow Link and Links Voting

Thanks for the very cools tips on using HTML in my modules. I didn't realize how easy it was to do this (I kept looking for a tab that put me in HTML mode, etc but I tend to be a little slow :) Great post.

  • kinworm Apr 10, 2011 @ 8:14 am | delete
Excellent and full of tips I can use right away. The only thing I didn't get is what is nofollow? No idea what that is - sure I can't be the only one.
  • NewToDVD Apr 21, 2011 @ 3:05 pm | delete
    Hi Kinworm,

'no follow' means that when google (or rather 'googlebot') reads the link it won't note it down to put that link into its algorythm. Links indicate to google the popularity of a page - the more links a page has the more popular google interprets it to be. So if a link is 'nofollow' google won't add it to the list of links its adding up to weigh a page's popularity. If SEO is important to you 'nofollow' status is important. If SEO isn't then don't worry about it.

Just used two of your excellent tips to make it easier for lensmasters to favorite a lens they like and join my fan club. I'd wondered how others had a fan club (which I almost always join) and I didn't have one. I thought it was one of those awards you have to earn! *smacks head* Thanks, thefluffanutta.

Great linking tutorial. I also use linking stategies to increase visability to my lenses. But I have also found article marketing to be productive.

Another top lens and no mistake. In fact this time I'm not just going to give it 5 stars but lensroll it so my own readers can share it's great benefits. Many Thanks... Clive Anderson.
