If you're like me, you don't want to create websites for a living, but maybe are trying to create your own website for fun or profit - or even just trying to learn more about it and tweak your site.
It has always been wonderful when I've been able to find free tools for my website on the Internet when I needed them.
I work on my own website, and along the way I found I needed tools to help me do things I wanted.
Rather than keep them hidden away in my Favorites List, I decided to share them on this page so more people can find these good websites!

I have had my website content stolen a lot lately. You really have to be vigilant and diligent to make people change it. Duplicate content hurts both the offender and the offended sites!

- BitScan : Copyright Protection
- Free Scan Enter a URL and BitScan searches for duplicate copies of your digital content. What I especially like is that they not only highlight the offending text in yellow, but it allows an option to email the Report directly to the offending webmaster (webHACK is more like it, eh?)

- Have you written some text for your website and want to make sure it passes the plagiarism test? Cut and paste the text you intend to use into the scan field on this page, and BitScan will let you know if it is available anywhere else on the Internet. This is a great way to make sure you aren't inadvertently using someone else's words, and helps your website by making sure your website content is unique....an important thing for Search Engine Optimization.
