I am starting with this brand because I can attest to the quality and craftsmanship. I own one and this summer, 2010, used it at a family picnic. They needed something with batteries still charged and it was plugged into the sound system. My Zen played music in a way that was beyond any of the other players I heard. None of the songs were softer than the others. It was just great. The best part of the party was that I saw everyone in three generations mouthing the words to, or just bobbing to a song I had. It made me feel quite like the generational DJ . Me and my ZEN, the one I have is the first one with the red screen.
