Liposuction Prices

Ranked #124,316 in Healthy Living, #1,217,503 overall

Liposuction continues to be a popular method for weight loss and fat removal, despite its expense and even despite the worldwide economic recession. In fact, the bad economy in some ways could help explain why liposuction treatments have remained steady throughout 2008 and well into 2009. Like someone who was saving money for a home is right now in one of the best buyers markets around, those who were thinking of having liposuction treatments are able to get them done at even more affordable prices than before the recession.

Why? This is possible because cosmetic surgery centers are discounting their prices in the hopes of drawing more customers. It's working. People are noticing when treatments that formerly cost $2,000 or $3,000 are being offered at $1,500 on special. For people who already had it in mind to use cosmetic surgery as a body tool, well - the time is ripe!

Keep Common Sense in Mind

Recession or no recession though, there is some common sense thinking that shouldn't get left out of the picture when it comes to liposuction prices. If the price is too good to be true, well - like all things in life that are too good to be true, it probably IS. This means you should be weary of signing any paperwork or contracts until you understand the total cost of liposuction, including operating fees and other fees tacked onto the final bill that you will be paying. For example, a quoted price may not include hospital fees, garment fees, fees for the numbing agents and their dispension into the patient, room fees, and other unexpected costs.

However, with that in mind, if you'd been eying up a treatment, which by the way might also be advertised as liposculpture or even lipoplasty- now could be the perfect time to do it before prices go back to the levels they were in 2007 and the start of 2008!

Sample Liposuction Prices

The cost of liposuction depends greatly on where you live. That being said, their is a generally recognized price range that you are going to see apply no matter where you live. Most surgeries start around $1,200-$1,800. It is common for treatment to go up to $2,000 or $3,000. It's rare for individual treatments to cost more than $5,000-$,7000.
