O.K. I had to come back and comment again. I just mixed up the scrub (it took 2 seconds). I used organic Manuka Honey and organic cane sugar. First off, I had to resist the urge to eat it off my lips when i was done....I noticed my lips tingling and then I used my Bubble and Bee organic raspberry lip balm. My lips look awesome! Thanks!!!

People remember to use facial scrub, but tend to forget that lips need exfoliation too! Great explanation of that, by the way, and I plan to share it. I am heading off to mix up my honey and sugar right now so my lips will be boyfriend ready!

Awesome and right on. I use a very similar recipe on my entire face, including lips. Olive oil is a little heavy for the face, so I use either Vitamin E or tea tree oil, depending on how dry my skin is. If my skin is feeling especially irritated or fragile, I mix the honey and oil with plain yogurt and skip the sugar.

5* for this lens. I'd love to feature it on the hq page of my Skin Care for Women group, so feel free to stop by and submit it anytime.

My lips are always extremely dry and flaky. I was going to go purchase something for them, but after finding this article I followed the suggestions and mixed together a little sugar, honey and olive oil. My lips are a little tingly still, but they feel and look much better. Tastes good too! Thanks!

At the end of the day, I put organic olive oil on my lips to keep them soft and moisturized.

I need to try this recipe! I prefer sugar scrubs over salt for my entire body actually. Salt can be painful (if you have scratches, hangnails, etc) and a little drying.

Thank you for your article about how to Exfoliate your Lips AKA Lip scrub :

Honey is such a valuable item to have in your all natural beauty and/or first aid kit.

Many flowers and herbs are wonderful helpers too.

I can not use sugar, but that would be a nice and easy way to exfoliate your lips that most folks could do.

I use a special lip balm with my organically grown red roses in it to exfoliate my lips.

You are so right, people forget about taking take of their lips until they are already chapped or peeling.

I wear my exfoliating lip balm at least once a week (I wear one of my other handmade lip balm on the other days) and I never have any more problems with my lips.

The commercial lip balms and scrubs always irritated me - I think because of some of the chemical sin them. This is why I started making my own.

    Organically Yours,
    Diana

Very colourful, interesting and well designed lens...but I'm afraid that most of the "technicalities" escaped me! I'll be sure to point it out to my other half!
