Who is Lisa Edelstein - Actress

Lisa Edelstein was born to Jewish parents in Boston. Her father is a pediatrician in New Jersey at Chilton Memorial Hospital. She was raised in Wayne, New Jersey and attended Wayne Valley High School, graduating in 1984. She moved to New York City at the age of 18 to study theatre at New York University's Tisch School of the Fine Arts.

Lisa has appeared in numerous TV shows over the last fifteen years. They include Mad About You, Wings, The Larry Sanders Show, Seinfeld, Relativity, The West Wing, Ally McBeal , Felicity, ER, Frasier, Just Shoot Me, Without a Trace, Judging Amy, House and the Good Wife.

She has also voiced a number of animated characters in shows such as American Dad and King of the Hill.

Lisa's movie appearances include What Women Want with Mel Gibson, Keeping the Faith with Ben Stiller, As Good as it Gets with Jack Nicholson and Daddy Day Care with Eddie Murphy.

Lisa currently lives in Los Angeles with her cat and three rescue dogs. She is vegetarian and practices Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga. She is heavily involved with the Best Friends Animal Society. In her spare time she enjoys writing, painting and composing music.
