Lisa's Career in a Nutshell
Lisa Edelstein was born to Jewish parents in Boston. Her father is a pediatrician in New Jersey at Chilton Memorial Hospital. She was raised in Wayne, New Jersey and attended Wayne Valley High School, graduating in 1984. She moved to New York City at the age of 18 to study theatre at New York University's Tisch School of the Fine Arts.
Lisa has appeared in numerous TV shows over the last fifteen years. They include Mad About You, Wings, The Larry Sanders Show, Seinfeld, Relativity, The West Wing, Ally McBeal , Felicity, ER, Frasier, Just Shoot Me, Without a Trace and Judging Amy.
She has also voiced a number of animated characters in shows such as American Dad and King of the Hill.
Lisa's movie appearances include What Women Want with Mel Gibson, Keeping the Faith with Ben Stiller, As Good as it Gets with Jack Nicholson and Daddy Day Care with Eddie Murphy.
Lisa currently lives in Los Angeles with her cat and three rescue dogs. She is vegetarian and practices Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga. She is heavily involved with the Best Friends Animal Society. In her spare time she enjoys writing, painting and composing music.

House, also known as House, M.D., is an American television medical drama that debuted on the Fox network on November 16, 2004. The program was co-created by David Shore and Paul Attanasio; Fox officially credits Shore as creator. The show's central character is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), an unconventional, maverick medical genius who heads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton?Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (PPTH) in New Jersey. The character has similarities to Sherlock Holmes: both are forensic geniuses, musicians, drug users, aloof, and largely friendless. The show's premise originated with Attanasio, while Shore was primarily responsible for the conception of the title character. The show's executive producers include Shore, Attanasio, Attanasio's business partner Katie Jacobs, and film director Bryan Singer. It is largely filmed in Century City.
