All you wanted to know about Lisa-Jane Myers
world famous medium and psychic from New Zealand. I am currently living in Wellington.
I am of Maori descent and have a strong connection to the East Coast of New Zealand.
In Maori we use the Pepeha to introduce ourselves. It is like a story about how we arrived here.
We are all children of the land, oceans and our ancestors so the story does not start with ourselves but back in time where we anchor ourselves. Starting with the mountain our ancestors arrived at after crossing the ocean and the rivers they followed to the district where they settled. From there we identify the Marae(sacred place) that our Grandparents come from and then finally ouselves.
Here is my Pepeha (first in Maori, followed by the English translation)
Ko Marotiri te maunga, Ko Maungahauini te awa, Ko Ruataupare te hapu, Ko Tuatini te marae, Ko Ngati Porou te iwi, Ko Titihuia Tuatini toku tipuna-koka, Ko Lisa-Jane Myers toku ingoa, Tena ra kotou katoa!
