Promote Your Blog Giveaway for Increased Traffic

While many people think that just holding a blog giveaway is enough to increase traffic, the fact is that you need to list your giveaway as many places as possible to get a high number of entrants. Promoting a giveaway takes hard work, but the increase in traffic and entrants is well worth it. As the owner of the Blog Giveaway Directory, I have discovered a large number of sites where you can list your blog giveaway for free - 221 different places in fact! I hope you find them useful when it comes to promoting your next blog giveaway.

While I do my best to keep things updated, I appreciate your input to keep things current. If you discover a site that is no longer accepting submissions, please leave a comment at the bottom of this page so I can update the information.

Most of the modules allow you to add your website to the list if appropriate, but it is being moderated to keep out the spammers. Please allow 72 hours for me to check your site and approve the listing.

List Your Giveaway at the Top Sweepstakes Directories

Whenever I have a new giveaway running, I always start by making sure it is listed at the big Sweepstakes Directories. If you list nowhere else, be sure to list at Online Sweepstakes. A large percentage of the traffic for any given giveaway I run generally comes from Online Sweepstakes. Online Sweepstakes has 232,459 members as of February 2011, so it is well worth your time to submit your giveaway there. Sweepstakes Advantage gets around 62,000 monthly visitors and CashNet Sweeps gets around 15,800 monthly visitors. If you don't have time to list anywhere else, start with those three.

    I don't use all the sites I list here but I use it as a general guideline for promoting my giveaways. Most people don't mess with the linkys each day but you would be surprised at how those entries add up.

    A lot of the links in the lists no longer offer linkies to add giveaways to. Perhaps sifting through the list again will be helpful to avoid wasting time going to sites that don't offer linkies anymore. Friday's list, I think only 3 offer it! Thanks!
