La Petite Prince

Over the last year I have been thinking long and hard about what image or words I want to get permanently tattooed on my body. I currently have two tattoos. One being song lyrics (which I don't regret, I just wish the band didn't sell out and make hits for the radio instead of being the musical geniuses that they were when I got the tattoo) and the other being a pink dove carrying a four leaf clover in his mouth that has the number 5 in the center. My grandmother passed away from breast cancer in 1994 and I realize it's probably more of a comfort thing than anything else but at my First Communion a dove came and sat on the edge of the roof at my party, and everyone always said it was her visiting. The only other time I saw a dove was during a confusing and difficult time in my life and I'm sticking by the thought that she comes back to visit and check in on me when I need it the most. My grandpa passed away about 2 years later in 1996. Being Irish, and proud of it 'going to city hall to get my a$$ painted green' on St. Patty's Day is what he would always say, and the 5 represents one of the very few memories I have of him. Every Sunday we went by grandma's and grandpa's to visit and every Sunday he would pull us each on his lap and ask if we were good that week. It never mattered if we were or not, we were always getting $5 from him. I would give anything in this world to have them back but I can always look down at my right arm and be reminded that they're always with me.
So now it's time to add to the slowly growing collection on my body. I've always wanted to get Jack the Pumpkin King, but that seems too common. So I decided to go with my absolute favorite book, The Little Prince. I've compiled various photos of tattoos I have found online and I thought some people might be interested in seeing what a dedicated fan base The Little Prince actually has!
