How Our Company Started
A little background on us.
I've loved creating things with my hands since I was a little girl. My Mom taught me to sew when I was only 7 years old, and I learned early on that anything worth doing, was worth doing with style. And ever since then, through an International career that had me responsible for a BILLION dollar budget, I've always loved sharing my handcrafted creations with others. But I must admit, my standards are very high. Nothing less than my best effort will do, especially when it's for someone else.
I've taken this passion for creative excellence to everything we do at Lil' Baby Cakes. In fact, an interviewer recently wrote:
"Under the capable hands of this designing woman, diaper cakes become a bona fide 'experience' that speaks directly to the heart of the recipient."
Comments like this make our day! And frankly, this is what's most important to us at Lil' Baby Cakes. Quite simply, we care.

How they are made
A look into how we make our Diaper Cakes!
Each diaper cake is created from my original designs, by our handpicked design team. Our team of artisans carefully fashions each diaper cake from scratch in our cozy studio. This is where we work our magic!You can rest assured your diaper cake will be created by steady hands, in a 100% non-smoking, non-pet design studio. Our designers don't even smoke at home! After all, we're responsible for creating a beautiful gift for a brand new baby, the purest form of life. We take that responsibility very seriously, and insist on pristine conditions.
Starting with dozens of fluffy pure white Pampers, we embellish each layer with the finest ingredients such as Gund "personalities"--premium baby products like Burt's Bees and Johnson & Johnson--and of course, baby love!
Every tiny detail is carefully considered. From huggable little bears to organic lotions to the seamless drape of ribbon, each creation is a work of art. We're like a family here, and take pride in making sure every diaper cake we create is infused with originality, attention to detail, and an uncompromising commitment to each new Mom's special day. What's the perfect baby shower center piece?
A Baby Diaper Cake of course!
Having a diaper cake baby shower centerpiece brings the overall baby shower décor together. As a focal point, the diaper cake is a great canvas for sending special messages to the family as they await the arrival of their new bundle of joy. Diaper cakes can be customized to suit any taste and to showcase any theme or character. As the centerpiece, a custom baby diaper cake is both beautiful and festive. The whimsy of using diapers to create an exquisite art piece for your baby shower event will put a smile on your guests' faces. They will simply marvel at how the cake has been made to almost perfectly replicate its edible counterpart. New Game Ideas
Some new game ideas to think about.
Even More Shower Games.
Hey, here are some games I found online. They seem pretty fun. Also variations of some games that are already around. Enjoy, also, if you have any ideas, feel free to share. I am making a complete list. : )
I Found these games at This Site
http://www.itsamomsworld.com/baby_shower_games.html
1. Don't Cry Mom: The object of the game is to get as many diaper pins from other guests as possible; the guest with the most pins at the end of the shower wins the game. As each guest comes in, they get a diaper pin from the host. If a guest overhears another guest speaking the expectant mother's name, then that guest must relinquish the diaper pin to the guest who calls 'foul'.
2. Baby Shower Bingo: Look online for free printable baby shower games, where you will surely find a bingo game board. On the game card, each guest must write down what she thinks the mother will receive when she opens present. For each gift she opens that you contain, the player may mark the spot. Bingo is achieved when a vertical, horizontal or diagonal line is complete across the game board.
3. Baby Birthday Card: This is a great game to play if there are older family guests present. Each guest is given a birthday card, numbered 1 through however many guests are present. Let's say there are 23 guests present. That guest will write a birthday card to be given on the child's birthday year for whatever number they got. This is a game that really lasts through the years, making very precious memories.
4. Baby Guessing Games: This game requires a volunteer, and can be performed several times. The volunteer has a sheet of paper pinned to his back with a baby item name on it. He goes around a circle of guests and asks for clues. If the volunteer figures out the item, he is given a prize.
5. Blind Diapering: You'll need one baby doll and a bunch of cloth diapers. This game is a great chance for moms to show off their diapering skills and at the same time can teach the expecting mother. Guests wear a blind-fold and attempt to diaper the baby doll. The guest with the fastest time and best results is the winner.
Baby Shower Prizes
Prizes really depend on whether you're having a co-ed baby shower or a girls only event. If only women are attending your baby shower, then feel free to splurge on feminine gifts, such as scented candles or bath soaps. If men are attending, you can either make male and female gifts, or shop for gifts that any sex would appreciate. Here are some baby shower prize ideas:
* scented soaps
* baked goods
* candles
* stuffed animals
* a bag of body lotions
* book gift certifications
* a photo album
* certificate for a manicure
* hand knitted scarves
Remember, get in your creative space of mind to make up unique baby shower games and fun baby shower prizes!

The Top Baby Shower games
Here are the top 5 baby shower games for 2008:
1. Personalized Baby Bingo - Just as the name implies, you can use photos, names, dream gifts, or just about anything to make the bingo board unique. You can set the game to 4 or 5 in a row, based on the board that you get. You can find this game at badabadababy.com or you can make your own. Either way, it will be loved and will be very nostalgic in years to come.
2. What size is Mommy's baby bump? - Using string or toilet paper as "measuring tools", have each guest take as much of the measuring tool that they think will equal the size of mommy's baby bump. It could be 10 toilet paper squares or a gigantic length of string. The one that was the closest to the real size wins!
3. Baby Bottle Race - Fill bottles with a liquid, a thin smoothie could be tasty and more chic, and have each participant race to see who can drink from the bottle the fastest in a certain amount of time. The one finished first, or with the least amount left in the bottle, wins.

4. "Baby" Songs - Using pencil and paper, everyone has to write down every song, whether R&B, Jazz, Christmas, or any popular music style, that has "baby" in the title. You will get everything from "My Baby Takes The Morning Train" to "Merry, Merry Christmas, Baby". The one with the most songs listed wins. Take it further by mixing up the entries and passing them around randomly, then, each person has to sing a song from the list. Be ready for a great time with this one!
5. Baby Food Cafe - This is a classic, but a fun game none the less. Take the label off of baby food jars, put your own label on them or mark with a number (so that you can identify them later). Have each guess taste the food to guess what it is. Try this blindfolded for even more laughs.
These are just a few of the fantastic baby shower games that can make the next baby shower phenomenal for everyone that attends. So, bottles up...spoons ready...and dig in for loads of fun!

Baby Pins!
More Baby Shower games and Variations!
When guests arrive, pin a small diaper pin onto their shirt. Once everyone is seated, tell everyone that they are not allowed to say the word baby (Not allowing guests to cross their legs is a common variation). If they do say the word baby, they must give their pin to the person who caught them saying it. The object of the game is to have the most pins by the end of the shower. That person gets a special gift at the end. I like to go with chocolate! Set a bowl of chocolate candies aside for the winners of the games. Each time a guest wins, they get to take a handful of the candies.
What's in The Diaper?
More Baby Shower games and Variations!
For this game you need five or six jars of different baby food and the same number of diapers. Empty some of each jar onto the different diapers in the middle. Smearing it makes the game both more disgusting and fun! Once the diapers are set up, make sure you remember which food is in which diaper, but don't tell anyone else. Then number the diapers accordingly. Give the guests each a piece of paper and a pen and tell them to guess which food they think is in which diaper using only their sense of smell! It is also fun to guess in teams. As always, the winners should get a prize. A funny gift would be a jar of baby food!

All Things Baby
Pass The Basket
More Baby Shower games and Variations!
For this game, gather some baby items into a basket. The usual items include bottles, binkies, bibs, teething rings, diapers, etc. Gather all of the guests into a circle and give them all pens and paper. (you can reuse the paper from other games) Hand one guest the basket and tell them to pass it along until everyone has seen what it is in it. Once the last person has seen the contents, take the basket away. Then, tell the guests to write down the items that they can remember from the basket. The person with the best memory wins.
Guess the Contents
More Baby Shower games and Variations!
This is a variation of Pass the Basket in which your sense of touch is responsible. Pass around a bag or a basket of around 5 items. With their eyes closes, each person gets a few seconds to guess what each item is using their hands, and then the basket is passed to the next guest. After they have felt the items, they should write down what they thought they felt. The person with the most right wins.

Who Am I?
More Baby Shower Games and Variations!
If the party is personal, compile a list of facts about each of the guests, some easy (like appearance), some harder to find out (She has five kids). Then write out a list of questions (One or two about each guest without making the list too long.) Type up the questions and give each guest a copy when they arrive. Then tell them to get the signature of the person to which that applies. This is an icebreaker game to introduce friends of the mother that might not know each other.
If the party is not as personal, make a generic list of questions and pass them out to the guests. Then the guests have to find people to which the questions apply and ask for their signature. In this game, all of the facts might not be found, but the guests will learn more about each other.
Here is an example list:
This person has five kids _____________
This person has a 2 year old______________
This person has red hair _____________
This person is pregnant _____________
This person has been married for ten years or more _____________
This person has grandchildren _____________
This person is in high school _____________
