- I tried to gather a variety of activities, so children of all ages can enjoy it. A five year old can most certainly get a lot out of activities that go along with Little House, but they may need help to do them. Some fun activities that a 5 year old might enjoy especially could be some of the cooking activities like making butter. Yes, they will need help, but it will be rewarding. :)

- I tried rewatching the TV show as an adult but couldn't after seeing the first few episodes and pilot where Caroline makes some racial slurs. The books though keep a special place in my heart. I love how book publishers have extended the love by creating picture books and beginning chapter books based on the original series. Oh, and of course like every good Missouri girl, I've been to Rocky Ridge Farm, her home in Mansfield, MO, where she wrote all the books. (Plus, it has Pa's fiddle.)

- This is a wonderful lens! My Granddaughter (4 1/2 years old) is really into the Little House on the Prairie! I love it too, and have been reading the books after her Mom reads them to her. She "reads" them herself by telling stories that she knows about them, as she slowly flips the pages. I'm going to bookmark this and get back to it for some excellent Christmas gifts! Super ideas!!!!
