or LPSO

Littlest Pet Shop Online is the newest online Littlest Pet Shop world from Hasbro and EA games. It's currently only available to the U.S. and Canada, though they have plans to expand for Europe next year.

With LPSO they offer a mix of free and premium content, with a monthly fee of $6.95 a month for the premium features. Access to the world itself, with its mini games and adventures, is free. Free accounts with no code can create one pet, but have only one pet option (a dog).

Purchase of your first LPSO pet, and entering its code on the website, gives a month's free access to the premium content, as well as a virtual pet and items. Buying more pets only gives the virtual pet and items.

Reading is more necessary in Littlest Pet Shop Online than it is in the Littlest Pet Shop VIP world. I can tell this one is going to give my non-reader and beginning reader more trouble and require more oversight from me.

Littlest Pet Shop VIPs 

With the Littlest Pet Shop VIPs, there are a few special games and areas for players who have four pets, but otherwise the world is open to anyone who has a VIP plush pet and enters its code. Accounts do expire, one year after the last VIP pet code was entered.

To try the game out for free, create a new account and borrow a pet from the adoption center. At the time my daughter was checking out the game, before we bought the kids their plush VIP pets, though, you couldn't keep this pet from the adoption center. It was the equivalent of a temporary pass.

Littlest Pet Shop VIP world was very easy for my kids, at three and seven, to navigate and play in.
