My Secret Tip for Making a Littlest Pet Shop Birthday Cake
Ranked #5,129 in Holidays & Celebrations, #67,527 overall
Don't let your Littlest Pet Shop cake toppers fall face first into the frosting!
My girls are obsessed with collecting Littlest Shop toys and I have made several Littlest Pet Shop cakes over the past few years using Littlest Pet Shop figures as cake toppers but I always had a problem with the figures tipping over face first into the frosting...so I came up with a solution that I think is truly simple and it works like a charm!

Bobby Pins!!
Seriously, bobby pins are the perfect solution for keeping the Littlest Pet figures from falling face first into your beautifully frosted cake.Littlest Pet Shop figures have a magnet on the bottom of their foot so you simply press a bobby pin into the cake where you want the figure to be placed.
Make sure you are using a new, clean bobby pin. *The large size works best because it give the magnet more surface to stick to.
Poke the bobby pin into the cake with the round, bent end up. It should sit just below the frosting but not too far into the cake so the magnet on your figure can attach to the metal end of the bobby pin.
Simply set your Littlest Pet Shop figure on top of the cake making sure the magnet is secured to the bobby pin!
*Be sure to remove the bobby pins before cutting the cake!!

How big is your Littlest Pet Shop?
Personally, I have lost count of how many Littlest Pet Shop figures my girls have in their collections but I do know that I can barely walk through my living room without wrecking a carefully structured city of Littlest Pet Shop toys.

- Wow, you win the Clever Mommy Award for this one - thanks for the great tip! My DD5 hasn't asked for a LPS cake yet, but I'm sure it will be the next one. And thanks for your comments on my LOTD!

- LPS is great shopping center for little pet toys. You have nicely presented those toys here. I shopped at this for my sister's children. I loved to shop at LPS.
