A Cool Story About My Visit To Times Square
In July of 2008 on our family vacation in New York City. While walking through Times Square, I called my mom in Florida. I told her to look up web cams in Times Square to see if she could find me. So she did, and she proceeded to explain what the camera was pointed at, so I could find out where it was located.
The camera had a time delay so what she thought she was seeing would be gone a minute later. After about 15 minutes of moving around to see if she could see me, and hearing her say: "Oh, I think that's you, holding Nicole", I finally said forget it and we moved on.

About 10 minutes later my mother called me. She said " I'm looking at a picture of you and Nicole from the web cam!" It turns out, that particular camera snaps a picture every hour, and the image is stored it in the archive for 24 hours.
It just so happens that it snapped a picture of me. I was there at exactly 9:00. So when my mother went back to the site, she found the photo. She took a picture of her computer screen (shown below) its kinda fuzzy. You can see me holding my daughter, on my cell phone with my mother.

- I went to New York once when I was 18. I walked around in circles most of the day and ended up in Time Square about 3 or 4 times that day. lol!!! Great lens.

- That's really neat. I want to go to New York City one day. We've studied the area and look at maps and especially like satellite pictures. I hadn't thought of web cams for the main places to be - we'll look at those too.
