Welcome Music Fans!!!

Studio albums are great, but nothing compares to the sights and sounds of a live concert.  Music recorded live in concert imparts not only the energy of the crowd in attendance, but it also captures the true sound of the artists, musicians, bands, and orchestras without the dubbing, remixing, and touch-up that goes on in the studio.  This is real music.....as it was meant to be heard!

Live Concerts Rock!

You heard me. There's just no substitute for hearing an artist perform live in concert. The purpose of this lens is to list the best live albums in several genres. Eventually, I'm going to add a "Best of the Best" list that will include only the top-rated live albums from all of the featured genres (as voted upon by you).

So what should you do? Several lists have already been started. Review them, and using the arrows beside each album, vote an album up or down the list according to your personal opinion and taste in music. If your favorite live album is not listed in a particular genre, then add it using the "Add To This List" button so that others can vote on it. If you add an album to the list, be sure to also add a short comment to tell us "why" you think the album is worthy enough to be in the list.

The goal is to make this a truly interactive list of recommended music in the "live music" category. Who knows, you may discover your next "must have" album on one of these lists. If so, just click on the title and you will be taken to Amazon.com where you can purchase the album for your own collection.

I can't wait to see how these lists evolve over time. This is going to be fun!
