Fight through it, the benefits for your body are worth the head aches and mood swings that accompany the first 3 day of a liver cleansing diet.

During the first three days, try to include a liquid fiber supplement. This will help you flush out the toxins that your liver will start dumping into your intestines and blood stream. It is also extremely important to drink a lot of water. This will keep you hydrated and aid in flushing out the toxins from your body.

After day three of your liver cleansing diet, it is time to slowly introduce whole foods. Whole fruits and vegetables should be taken for the next day to get you used to eating whole foods again. Protein is an often neglected nutrient source for those on a liver cleansing diet. It is very important that you continue getting enough protein, so eat beans, fish and small amounts of beef.
