Singapore: In Harmony with Nature
Though having less natural resources, the caring attribute of its people has indeed been their culture that through time contributed to what the country is now and its place in the global economy. A country that can be considered as a safe place for man and nature. Look and feel one of earths paradise...visit Singapore.
Protecting and showcasing the natural heritage
Seeing that nature is being preserved as well as protected and at the same time learning their importance is what one would experience at Jurong Bird Park aside from the country's animal zoo.Indeed birds can learn too some human skills like playing basketball as well as talking. The way I see it birds would live in harmony with mankind if and only if mankind's culture is in harmony with nature.
Jurong Bird Park: Up Close and Personal with some Wonders
It is quite noting that the bird park houses about 380 species of birds counting to almost 5000 and flying as well as roaming freely in their man-made habitats. If you have not experience birds at the tip of your fingers, there are four large aviaries which have feeding sessions where you will experience close encounters with these colorful and natural flyers. On the other hand, one could experience what was once reserved for the aristocrats and the royal families - being a Falconer! Handling these mighty birds of prey for sports is a risky activity as their talons are sharp that could rip not just ones' skin but also the muscles.
Bird shows are also part of the highlights of the park. A sight of the penguins in their natural habitats is heart warming. All the while, there are species of penguins that thrive in the African climate besides in the Antarctic. It is awesome to have lunch while parrots perform on stage to show off their agility, painting using a brush and cardboard, solve simple situational puzzles and of course mimicking human word sounds. The experience in hanging out in the habitat of predator birds is also an experience where one could witness the agility skills as well as the sharpness of the eyes of these kinds of birds. A hunting simulation show with a horse and a dog adds up to the learning experience that indeed these types of birds are on top of the food chain.
