Recipe for Mustard Plaster

Mix equal parts of flour and dry mustard(Keen's) approximately 2 Tbsp./each.

Boil water and add little at a time to make a paste.

Take two pieces of paper towel and place the mustard paste between the paper towel.

Place on centre of chest til it is red and you can't stand it anymore. (Remember it can burn you like a sunburn if left on too long).

Remove and rub mentholatum on it and this will keep the mustard solution working.

Turn over and repeat process on the upper back.

My children are aged 7 and 4. Right from the beginning I made their food so they didn't have to eat all the preservatives added to baby food and other products.
You start with 1 ice-cube of food and increase the amount as they get older. The more colorful you make the plate the better as your child will be intrigued by the various colours. Example, place 1 ice-cube of broccoli, 1 ice-cube of squash and then one of a cauliflower or fruit like mashed banana. This will make for a nice, bright, healthy balanced meal for your little one.
To this day my son age 7 loves broccoli and cauliflower and will eat it like it is candy. My daughter liked the sweeter vegetables like squash, sweet potato and carrots. They are great eaters and I am confident that they are healthier for this.

What You will Need To Get Started

Blender
Vegetables (organic if you can - if not you will
still have a better food for your baby
without all the preservatives added)
Water
Ice-cube trays
Ziploc bags
A freezer

Example of some foods:
squash, peas, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, bananas mashed by hand, peaches, pears, apples etc.
Anything you can eat goes!

DIRECTIONS:

Step One - Wash vegetables

Step Two - Cook and prepare food. Cut into small
pieces.

Step Three - Place vegetable in blender and add a
little bit of water at a time and blend
until desired consistency for your
baby. (Not too thick or runny, like
applesauce consistency).

Step Four - Spoon into ice-cube trays and then
freeze.

Step Five - Once frozen, empty into Ziploc bags and
be sure to put the date and label what
it is . Use within 2 months.

Repeat with all other veggies or fruits, whichever your little one's tastes desires.

When you are ready for meal time take an ice-cube and heat it up on the stove on low. Be sure to check the temperature before serving. Do Not place in microwave as it does not heat evenly and may have extremely hot spots.
