PREFACE (partial):
"Lizards are cold-blooded vertebrates that are placed in the class Reptilia (reptiles). The classification of lizards is detailed further by their inclusion in the order Squamata; snakes also belong to this order. Sauria, a suborder, is reserved exclusively for lizards and compromises some 19 families. Within these 19 families are approximately 300 genera of lizards that collectively contain somewhere around 3000 species plus hundreds of addtional subspecies.
The natural distribution of lizard species is almost worldwide. They are most plentiful in warm climates, although one species, Lacerta vivipara, is known to be indigenous as far north as just within the Artic Circle.
The scientific names of lizards are printed in italic type, with the genus first (with an initial capital letter) and the species name second." ###

When I lived in Kentucky, there was a blue tail lizard that I see come out every year from a crack in the steps to sun itself.

My favorite lizards are actually these tiny little stripey guys that I have running around my garden. I don't know what their proper name is though. They are lightning fast! I've only managed to snag one photo of one in the past 10 years I've lived here.

Cool lense. Reminds me of the morning my mother woke me up SCREAMING in the kitchen because a small (and I mean small) lizard had somehow gotten in the house and was sitting on the kitchen counter. LOL Keep up the good work.

Excellent start! Three of my funniest stories are about lizards. Now I have a smile on my face remembering them because of your lizard lens.
