Ever know a real estate developer? The title sounds somewhat intimidating, huh? We think so. You almost feel like REAL ESTATE should be capitalized or the "S" should be a dollar sign. Plus, its limiting. There are real estate developers who never build a thing; others only do commercial office buildings or strip malls. For a great many people, the title probably sounds just plain boring (unless, of course, you are IN THE INDUSTRY).

So, while we are extremely passionate about what we do and why, it's a hard title to swallow.

We think its time to deconstruct this whole thing. Let's break down the barrier between "the developer" and "the community" or "the home buyers." Let's do this for the right reasons for once. Let's think long-term and big picture and holistically about the work we do. Let's find ways to empower others.

So now, when people ask us what we do we tell them we create eco-urban community. That's not spin-doctoring. It's the real deal. Far more expressive of what really excites us.
