Best known for her first book, Anne Of Green Gables, L M Montgomery wrote twenty novels in her lifetime, as well as 500 short stories and poems. Her writing has been loved by readers around the world, achieving fame for herself, and also Prince Edward Island, the setting for all but one of her novels.
For those who loved reading "Anne" while growing up, there is so much more to read and enjoy from this wonderful author! Lucy Maud Montgomery CBE, (always called "Maud" by family and friends) and publicly known as L. M. Montgomery, (November 30, 1874-April 24, 1942) was a Canadian author, best known for a series of novels beginning with Anne of Green Gables, published in 1908.
