Best known for her first book, Anne Of Green Gables, L M Montgomery wrote twenty novels in her lifetime, as well as 500 short stories and poems. Her writing has been loved by readers around the world, achieving fame for herself, and also Prince Edward Island, the setting for all but one of her novels.
For those who loved reading "Anne" while growing up, there is so much more to read and enjoy from this wonderful author! Lucy Maud Montgomery CBE, (always called "Maud" by family and friends) and publicly known as L.M. Montgomery, (30 November 1874?24 April 1942) was a Canadian author, best known for a series of novels beginning with Anne of Green Gables, published in 1908.

- This was one of the attractions for us when we went to PEI. I picked up a book of poetry by her when I was there. She's definitely left an impression on childhood fiction.

- Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite books. I loved her autobiography as well.

- I love Anne of Green Gables. The Anne of Green Gables mini series is what introduced me to L.M. Montgomery. I also loved the other shows based off of her books Avonlea, and Emily of New Moon. I still need to read all the books. :)
