Lobbyists -- Problem or Solution?

Why don't our leaders solve the problems facing America? Everyone admits there are tremendous problems with our health care, environment, taxes, fuel, education, and economy. For example, our dependence on foreign oil has been a major campaign issue for both political parties over the past four decades, so why hasn't it been addressed? One simple answer -- lobbyists and the special interest groups that finance them.
