Lobster Tails Gourmet

Lobster tails are a great treat, especially if you haven`t had them in a while. So why not stick around and learn different ways you can cook them. You don`t have to be an expert in the kitchen to cook lobster tails. Its actually alot easier then most people think.
Three common methods to cook lobster tails include boiling, steaming, and best of all grilling. Grilling tends to be a little more difficult them boiling or steaming but it is worth it if you're up for a slight challenge.

3 Easy Ways to Cook Lobster Tails
Cooking Lobster Tails in the Oven Lobster tails can be baked or broiled in the oven. To cook thawed lobster in the oven,set the oven to 400 degrees F. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes and brush the tails with butter. If broiling, place the tails 4 or 5 inches from the heat and broil for 2 - 5 minutes.
Cooking Lobster Tails On The Grill
* 6 lobster tails
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
* 1 tablespoon fresh dill
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat grill for medium-high heat. Cut lobster tails in half lengthwise, exposing flesh. Combine remaining ingredients in small mixing bowl. Brush mixture onto flesh side of lobster tails. Place lobster onto grill and cook for 5-7 minutes, depending on the size of the lobster tail. Make sure to turn once during cooking process. Remove from heat and serve.

Boiling Lobster Tails
Boil some water and make sure theres enough room for all your lobster tails, add 1 tsp salt for each quart of water. Drop the tails in the boiling water and cook for about 1 minute per oz thawed (so 10 0z of tails needs to cook for 10 minutes). If you are cooking a lot of tails, add a minute or two on to the total time.

Lobster Rolls Recipe
mmm.... delicious
Ingredients:
4 cups of lobster meat from steamed lobsters(approximately 2 1 1/2 to 2 pound lobsters)
1 cup mayonnaise
2 ribs of celery, small dice
1 bunch of green onions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
1 tablespoon flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
2 tablespoons basil chiffonade
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Combine all ingredients except lobster in a mixing bowl.
Rough chop lobster meat an mix gently into dressing with a rubber spatula.
Split a baguette open 3/4 of the way lengthwise and cut into 4 6-inch sandwiches. Buttter the inside generously and toast under broiler until golden brown.
Fill with shredded lettuce and lobster salad.

How to Cook Lobster Tails
Steam: About 7 to 8 minutes on average per 7 to 8 ounce tailGrilling: You should boil them for 4 minutes and then grill about 8 minutes.
Boiling: The general rule is 5 minutes for the first pound and add 1 minute for each additional pound.
