Locksmith Courses

Professional, well structured locksmith
courses are a quick and exciting way to learn the
skills to become a professional locksmith. It doesn't
have to take years or months to learn the skills and in
fact it is possible with expert trainers to provide all
locksmith training needed in as little as two
days.

There are very few locksmith jobs available as
most locksmiths are sole traders who run a locksmith
business alone. They are usually extremely protective of
their skills and business practices and apart from family
are very wary of teaching "outsiders" their valuable
skills.

Because of this lack of locksmith training from
established locksmiths, it is left up to locksmith training courses to pass on and maintain the quality of skills and service provided by new locksmiths.

There is no official accreditation, governing body or registration of locksmiths in the UK. It is
perfectly legal for anybody to trade as a locksmith. There are a lot of people trading as locksmiths that have not attended any locksmith training courses or been trained in any way. The service they provide is often poor and the client is overcharged and left unhappy with the bodged job. A well trained locksmith can provide an excellent service and be paid well for it. The client is happy to pay for and refer to his friends and colleagues excellent workmanship.
