Lodging IN Ogunquit

Last spring I ventured to Maine with my girlfriend, and we stayed in the cutest, most amazing Ogunquit Hotel. Fortunately for us we went in the early spring right before the town really came top life and exploded with more fellow travelers. The weather was great, everything was blossoming and coming to life. There was something very nostalgic about this quaint little vacation town that just felt like home. Growing up in New England I have grown accustomed to being surrounded by the natural beauty of nature.

The Ogunquit Hotel that we stayed at was top notch. Actually it was a bed and breakfast. The actual house that it was in was aged, well preserved and left me with a sense that it had some history. If only walls could talk, i'm sure it had many a story to tell. Our Lodging was located right in the heart of this little town, where almost everything was in easy walking distance.

So taking note of where our Ogunquit hotel was located, we set off on foot for an adventure. Not too far down the road were some other amazing looking hotels right on the beach, but we were close enough. (Next time I thought we're booking a Hotel in Ogunquit right on the water) We soon found ourselves at the entrance way to the Marginal Way.

If you have never been to Ogunquit and experienced the Marginal Way for yourself, then take note. This is one of the most scenic walks along the coast that you could ever hope for. With a panoramic view of the ocean, small cliffs to sit and stare at the beauty in bewilderment, benches to rest and small pools of water to sit and let your imagination take you back to a place of adolescence.

We enjoyed the stroll through the Marginal Way, taking our time. We sat upon the rocks and just let it all sink in. It was such a romantic experience, as we were just really falling in love. It was almost like some scene right out of a good romance movie. Shortly there after we found ourselves back on the main strip near Perkins Cove, and many great restaurants. Perkins cove has an amazing drw bridge leading right out to the ocean. Many fishing boats rest there after bring the day's catch to the local restaurants, probably to be served for dinner that night. How's that for fresh?

Soon we found ourselves back at our Ogunquit hotel, all snug ad cosey, taking a little power nap to gear up for the night. Soon we were ready to go back out to the world of Ogunquit and experience the best night life the little quaint town has to offer. Thankfully our Ogunquit hotel as I said before was in a great location for walking to the best restaurants. So we took a little stroll to get a drink as an aperitif. Since it was before peak season, the restaurants were not that busy. We wanted to sit at this amazing table with the most beautiful painting hanging nearby, but that part of the restaurant was not really being used. With a little persuading they were nice enough to let us sit at the table that we really wanted. That made our dining experience one to remember forever. The food and wine was fantastic, and we even took a picture of out painting that we liked so much.

So we then got a few drinks nearby at another restaurant and made the stumble home. Our first night in Ogunquit was amazing because of all of the things this place has to offer. I must say though that the biggest key factor to our amazing stay was out hotel in Ogunquit, and it's location. I highly recommend booking your Lodging In Ogunquit ahead of time to ensure you get a great place to stay. It will make your overall experience that much better.
