Loft Bed with Storage and Desk

We bought this cheap loft bed with storage and desk for our four year old daughter to replace her toddler bed. Her bedroom is really small, so what ever we chose needed to be a twin bed and storage was a must. But, we are working on a very tight budget. I did a lot of shopping online to find a bed that she would like, that would suit our needs, and that was under $400. The only loft bed with storage and a desk that fit that description was the Charleston storage loft bed.

The Charleston storage loft bed is a twin size bed that has steel rails on both sides, a display shelf by the mattress, a book shelf down below, a three drawer chest of drawers, a student desk, and a storage cabinet.

This loft bed is very strong and sturdy. The supports for the mattress are steel and are so sturdy that my husband and I can both sit on the bed and the frame doesn't give at all. The ladder is also plenty sturdy enough to hold myself and my husband. The drawers to the dresser are on rollers and feel very solid and sturdy. The desk was even more solid and sturdy than I was expecting. This bed is going to last us a long time. It's not made of solid wood (it's a composite) but that doesn't mean that it's not a sturdy and quality product. My husband said while putting our daughter's loft bed together that he was very impressed by the quality of its design and structure.

This loft bed has more storage than you think. The dresser may only have three drawers, but they are large. They are wider than most cheap dressers you find and they are quite deep. The book shelf is also a lot deeper than you think. You can use it to store oversized books with ease, or even buy large storage bins to keep a variety of items organized and neatly tucked away. Finally, the cabinet is extremely deep, so it holds a lot.

Best of all, my daughter (well actually all three of my kids) think this best is fun. They love climbing the ladder. The bed is elevated just enough to make it exciting, but not so high that I worry of her falling off. She's too young to need the desk, so for now we are storing it in the attic and she's made a fort under her bed through the crawl space where the desk is supposed to go. It's been a great bed and helped put an end to our terrible bedtime battles.

We've now had this storage loft bed for over two years and it looks as great now as it did when we first put it together. It is a very sturdy construction that has held up beautifully to the wear and tear of my three young children.

This storage loft bed in natural is the one we bought. My daughter preferred the wood tone to the white. The color looks the same in person (like a maple) as it does in the picture.
