logical-mathematical intelligence
In Howard Gardner's eight stages of intelligence logical mathematical deals with logic, mathematics, reasoning and abstraction. It deals with more than just being good with numbers and math; it has to do with the ability to figure out problems using reasoning and intelligence. Of all the eight areas of intelligence it is more closely aligned with the traditional method of determining a person's IQ.
Can you improve your logical-mathematical intelligence?
Like spatial intelligence a lot can be gained by playing brain teaser games and logical games. Solving mathematical problems will also help. Learning a computer language would also be beneficial because writing programs takes a good deal abstract thinking and problem solving.
