"I was reluctant to purchase a new universal remote as I have an MX-850 that was quite costly and required custom programming from the move to my new home in Davidson. Unfortunately for me, my new A/V installer had no experience with programming this type of remote and I was forced to either pay the Geek Squad a few hundred dollars to program my three year old remote and possibly pay even more if it became a time issue to program (as they often do).

So instead of playing the guessing game on how much it might cost to program the old one, I decided to go with the cool looking Harmony 1100 with the color screen that I could hopefully program.

I ordered it while I was out of town and had it sitting on my doorstep when I got home last night. While my wife unpacked, I grabbed the four remotes I had in the den, took some quick pics of the model numbers of my TV, BluRay, DirecTV box, and my tuner and sat down at my computer with my impatient 3 year old in tow. Within 20 minutes, the software was downloaded to my laptop, all of the easy to use set ups were answered, and a few commands pressed on my old remotes...and presto, all done. 20 minutes!

And upon verifying that indeed everything was programmed properly, I put all the old remotes...count them...4...away in the cabinet and now I just have one again. And one that aesthetically is much cooler than my old one and no complaints from the wife.

A little pricy, but worth it for the coolness factor. I read a few complaints about it not being a one-hand held type of remote, but I found it to be very comfortable in one hand and even using two intitially for a few type of applications like fast forwarding through a DVR'd commercial break, became easy with one...once I figured out how to hold it. The eye is in the top left of the remote, so I hold from the top right and all is well. "

"Finally I am able to solve my family problem whenever switching on TV, blu ray player, amplifier , Network Media Jukebox , Wii , PS2 etc. My family members are confused with the steps when turning on any of the audio & video products.

It is a wonderful & amazing products which I do not need to carry so many individual remote controllers in my living room. Moreover, it simplifies all steps when I turn on my TV , Yamaha amplifier & Pop-corn network media jukebox with only 1 button! I can simply switch to my Blu ray player, LCD TV & Yamaha Amplifier also with single button on my Logitech Remote control! Lastly I turn on my air con & fan as well using this remote control too! "
