Every day we see logos developed by amateur designers which are either derived from existing logo designs or are blatant ripoffs of existing ones.
Even popular logo design companies are accused of plagiarism and there have been massive forum discussions on such cases.
Logo Design has changed from being an art into a cheap commodity, much like some thing you would buy off the shelf in a super market. Gone are the days when creating an identity was an art with a lot of research, brainstorming, discussions with the customer and so on. It has now become a matter of simply browse some body's logo portfolio and then copy a design that was created for a client.
