Lomography Phenomena Explained

Lomography emphasizes casual, snapshot photography. Characteristics such as over-saturated colors, off-kilter exposure, blurring, "happy accidents," and alternative film processing are often considered part of the "Lomographic Technique".

Users are encouraged to take a lighthearted approach to their photography, and use these techniques to document everyday life, most lomo camera are small size, very handy and light weight, simple controls, and ability to shoot in low light encourages candid photography, photo reportage through the much-touted "10 Rules."

Most Lomographic cameras are designed to produce a single photographic effect. For example, the Lomography Fisheye camera features a built-in wideangle lens, and shoots fisheye-distorted photos.

The word "lomography" itself is the commercial trademark of Lomographische AG, Austria for products and services related to photography.

The name is inspired by the former state-run optics manufacturer LOMO PLC of Saint Petersburg, Russia. LOMO PLC created and produced the 35 mm LOMO LC-A Compact Automat camera - which became the centerpiece of Lomography's marketing and sales activities. This camera was loosely based upon the Cosina CX-1 and introduced in the early 1980s.

Action Sampler with Flash

This camera uses four lenses to capture four different photos on one frame of film. The Action Sampler takes the photos a fraction of a second apart, creating an "action sample" that shows the sequence of motion.

Uses standard 35mm film and standard processing.

Horizon Perfekt

# Multicoated of -28P 28/2.8 glass lens
For brilliant contrast

# Swing lens technology
lens swings from side to side, a narrow vertical slit between the lens and film rotates along with it - thereby progressively exposing the film as the lens moves. The film plane is curved, thereby keeping the film tight and maintaining a uniform distance from the lens

# Quiet clockwork mechanics

# Variable aperture settings

# Variable shutter settings
Settings in between (1/250, 1/125. 1/60, 1/8, ΒΌ) are just perfect for light conditions that are in between.

# Built - In Accesories
The tripod thread and cable release thread, when used together, produces shake-free long exposures. The bubble-eye level, available through the viewfinder, allows you to perfectly place the "horizon" of each photograph. And the fat handgrip gives you a slow-steady hand
