Here's everything you to need to create a look from London Fashion Week 2012. From color palettes to material and equipment.

Blue & purple like Burberry!

Watch the video below to see highlights from the Burberry London Fashion Week Autumn Winter Womens wear Highlights 2012 featuring Anna Wintour, Will.I.am and other big names who are praising the label.

Blue, purple and gold are big colors for next season but so are the ever steady, trusty ones like tan, black and muted pastels.

Also a great chance to see the leading looks! You can't miss the trademark tan which has been brought to an International level of style without forgoing it's 'very British' heritage.

What you need to create your own London Fashion week looks!

A list of what you need to pull together a London Fashion week look!

Image by Cláudia*~Assad Design Get a sketch book and draw your basic look based on your ideas from the inspiration board, Burberry video and the rest of this guide. Use colored markers and pencils to bring your design to life!

Equipment
Here's a list of things to get before you start sewing!

  • You'll need a pattern so go on line and find one that gives you the basic form of your design (you can tweak it later) and have it sent to you by post so you can use it to trace your material cut outs from.

  • You'll also need to go to a haberdashery and get two or three different fabrics in lengths of 1-3 meters, accessories like zips and beading equipment and tracing paper to draw your pattern on to.

  • You'll need to invest in a nifty little sewing machine (you can always find a good deal in on line catalogs) as well as a good deal on electricity prices to cater for your new fashion challenge cost price as well as a place to sew in of course (anywhere with some space and lots of light!)

  • A mannequin to dress your outfit on as well as lots of pins!

Model it
Base your outfit's sizes on your own size (as you'll want to wear it!) and keep trying it on throughout the process. Add notes to your sketch on things to do or change and don't be scared to challenge your abilities to match that fabulous imagination!
